Creative Director - Gemma Barrett
Gemma runs the Active Creative classes in Harrow & Hillingdon, where she teaches Dinky Dancers, Boogaloo Boogie and Motion Commotion in schools and communities around the borough.
Gemma has a BA HONS and ABATD in Ballet, Tap and Modern Dance. She trained with the British Association of Teachers of Dancing and ran a dance school for many years; coaching children and adults to examination and festival level. She has also taught adult keep fit classes and line dancing.
Gemma is a certified first aider.
Dance - Vanessa Armstrong
Vanessa works for a number of dance schools teaching ballet, tap, street and contemporary dance. She also teaches Dinky Dancers’ classes in nurseries and Children’s Centres.
Vanessa trained at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts and is an ISTD qualified teacher in Tap and Modern Theatre. Vanessa has appeared in a variety of musicals, including both stage and screen work.
This is Vanessa’s first year with The Performing Arts Club.
